Boxer & Gerson’s office in the stately Rotunda Building at Frank H Ogawa Plaza welcomed some 50 members of the East Bay La Raza Lawyers Association (EBLRLA) at an annual mixer on September 6. The event brought together attorneys, judges and law students in the EBLRLA community for after-hours networking and social interaction in the firm’s law library.
EBLRLA is the county bar association of Latino/a lawyers in Alameda and Contra Costa counties, with offices in Oakland.
The organization’s mission is four-fold: (1) expanding legal access to members of the Latino/a community; (2) providing annual scholarships to Latino/a law students; (3) supporting Latino/a attorneys with professional networking; and (4) advocating for increased Latino/a representation in the judiciary. The group’s various committee activities also include making judicial election endorsements and the mentoring of Latino/a law students in the area.
Below are a few photos from this annual highlight on the Boxer & Gerson community calendar.
