Bert Arnold began practicing law in 1986 as a Criminal Defense Lawyer before finding a niche specializing in workers’ compensation. Bert joined Boxer+Gerson in 1999, before becoming a partner with the firm in 2005. Throughout his esteemed career, Bert has garnered a reputation for leaving no stone unturned. Often working 80-plus hours a week, Bert has proven repeatedly that his number one objective is to ensure his clients are provided with both the medical treatment and time necessary to heal.
Named as a certified specialist in workers’ compensation by the State Bar of California in 2002, Bert has spent decades fighting for the rights of injured workers. He has been recognized by his peers in Northern California as a “Super Lawyer” in San Francisco Magazine 10 times and has been acknowledged as one of “America’s Most Honored Lawyers” by the American Registry.
Serving on The California Applicants’ Attorneys Association (CAAA) Board of Directors as local Chapter President, leading up to being the President and Legislative Chair of CAAA at the state level, he now remains on the board advocating for the rights of those injured on the job. Through his work with CAAA, Bert has spent a significant amount of time lobbying and helping form legislation in Sacramento. Over the years he has developed a passion for education, often lecturing at various conventions and seminars (including the California State Bar and local unions), educating his peers on the newest statutes, laws, and how these will affect their clients in the long run.
Bert is a former member of the State Bar Workers’ Compensation Committee and also currently serves on the board for Kids Chance of California, a charity dedicated to providing scholarships for children whose parents have either died or been seriously injured.
In addition to his practice of law, Bert enjoys riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles and has been seen riding with organizations such as local Teamster Horseman chapters.
