Dennis Popalardo has devoted his entire practice to the field of workers’ compensation since his admission to the California State Bar in 1992. To Dennis, the practice of law boils down to simple values: doing good and helping people. He finds great satisfaction in making a difference in the lives of injured workers, and he takes pride in representing clients from a wide range of professions. Over the years, he’s developed many special industry niches, including delivery and garbage truck drivers, firefighters, police officers, professional athletes, and supermarket workers.
Before joining Boxer+Gerson, Dennis was a managing partner at a nationwide insurance defense firm. He’s a certified workers’ comp specialist by the California State Bar, and in 2006 he was recognized by San Francisco Magazine as one of Northern California’s “Super Lawyers.” He served as the past update author of California Workers’ Compensation Practice, and he wrote the workers’ comp chapter of the California Basic Practice Handbook.
Dennis enjoys reading, gardening, watching sports, and anything that allows for time with his wife and son.
Dennis' parents and grandparents were blue-collar workers and union members, and he was the first person in his family to go to college.
